Key aspects of individual therapy include:

  1. Personalized Attention: Sessions are tailored to your unique needs, goals, and pace.

  2. Safe Space: A confidential environment where you can express yourself openly without judgment.

  3. Skill Development: Learn coping mechanisms and problem-solving techniques to manage life's challenges.

  4. Self-Discovery: Gain insights into your behaviors, thoughts, and emotions.

  5. Goal-Oriented: Work towards specific objectives, whether it's managing anxiety, improving relationships, or enhancing self-esteem.

  6. Flexible Approach: Therapists may use various evidence-based techniques, adapting to what works best for you.

Individual therapy can help with a wide range of issues, from daily life stresses to more complex mental health conditions. It's a journey of self-improvement that empowers you to lead a more fulfilling life.

Family Therapy or Couples Counseling

$200

Family and couples therapy are specialized forms of psychotherapy designed to improve relationships, enhance communication, and foster healthier interactions among family members or partners. These approaches recognize that many individual issues are intertwined with relationship dynamics.

Key Aspects of Family and Couples Therapy

  1. Systems Approach: Views the family or couple as an interconnected system where each member's actions influence others.

  2. Improved Communication: Teaches effective ways to express needs, listen actively, and understand each other better.

  3. Conflict Resolution: Helps families and couples navigate disagreements and find constructive solutions.

  4. Strengthening Bonds: Builds on existing strengths to create a more supportive and loving environment.

  5. Adaptability: Assists in coping with significant life changes, transitions, or stressors.

  6. Individual Growth: Supports personal development within the context of relationships.

  7. Safe Space: Provides a neutral, confidential environment to work through challenges guided by a trained professional.

Whether you're seeking to resolve specific conflicts, improve overall family functioning, or strengthen your partnership, family and couples therapy provides tools and strategies for more fulfilling relationships. It's a collaborative process that can lead to improved communication, deeper understanding, and enhanced individual and collective well-being.

Note: Couples counseling is not typically covered by insurance. The benefit of couples counseling that is not billed through insurance is that your therapist is not required to provide you or your partner with a Mental Health diagnosis. (We are happy to answer any questions you may have about this before you schedule your appointment.)

If you are using your insurance benefits

Understanding what your insurance covers and what you must pay for health care can be confusing. The amounts shown above are our self-pay rates, as well as what we would bill your insurance.

After your session, we will submit a bill (also called a claim) to your insurance company. A claim lists the services our office provided to you. The insurance company uses the information in the claim to pay us for those services. You may or may not owe us a co-pay, depending on your insurance benefits. Our health record system allows you to keep a card on file to pay your co-pay.

Talk to your therapist if you have more questions about using your insurance.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care and/ or mental health services will cost.

Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the Colorado Division of Insurance at 303-894-7490 or 1-800-930-3745.
